“Our Deal” by Best Coast

29 Aug

Ah the sound of oceans and the oldies mixed up with a girl and put into my ear… It sounds nice.

A new friend I met here showed me this song after she heard I was into music.  I LOVE this song.

“Title and Registration” by Death Cab for a Cutie

28 Aug

They come out with amazing albums. . . amazing songs. I chose this song because it was the first Death Cab song I had ever heard. I listened to this non-stop for hours and hours and hours. Then I discovered they had created more than one song that was worth putting on repeat. Love Death Cab…

“New Slang” by The Shins

27 Aug

I first heard this song when I was watching fireworks two Fourth of July’s ago.  We were sitting on top of a car and this song came on.  This song made everything more wonderful then it already was.  We were laying on our backs, watching the stars just as much as we were watching the fireworks…And this song snuck into the scene…And wow, I’ll never forget it!

“Nothing Left to Lose” Mat Kearney

I fell in love with the song when I first heard it.  I swear, whenever this song comes on…I just close my eyes and “become one with the song”…No lie.

Great matching voice. Great song…

“I’ll Fight” by Wilco

20 Aug

“I’ll Fight” by Wilco.

Dia took me to one of their concerts and we totally stood their slobbering over the band and their music.  We were so goo-goo eyed over them, we bought matching Wilco T-shirts and gave eachother high fives when we slipped them on over whatever we were wearing.  Rarely do I get so excited about something/someone.  It was fun to just be so into something in the moment.  If you like this song, check ou “Jesus, etc.”

“Dare You to Move” by Switchfoot

19 Aug

“Dare You to Move” has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid.  Talk about inspirational.  “Everybody’s watching you now. . . What happens next? What happens next? I dare you to move” … to Calofornia ? 😉

I might not be able to keep up with a song a day, but while I am busy off doing whatever awesome things that I do…Don’t wait for me… I dare YOU to move.

(I’m not even going to comment on how corny that was)

Good bye summer, Hello rest of the world.
