29 Sep

Just listen to it…

and if you don’t dance… then you’re no friend of mine.

“Blood Bank” by Bon Iver

Just listen to it.

“Come Pick Me Up” by Ryan Adams

26 Sep

“I wish you would come pick me up… Take me out… #$#@ me up… Steal My records. Screw all of my friends… They’re all full of $#@#… With a smile on your face…and then do it again…”

Is there a better chorus to sing to in tears of passion?  C’mon now…

“Fair” by Remy Zero

22 Sep

Voice… Guitar…lyrics… perfection.

Perfect song to hide under the covers to and let a tear or two slide down your cheek.  ❤

“Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes

20 Sep

The words are adorable.  The love is real. You know that just from listening to the song.  Go on youtube and look up some of their live videos of this song.  They love eachother.  Music just sounds better when the people who are making music know what love is.

“It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me” by Billy Joel

15 Sep

This was the first song I remember hearing of Billy Joel when I was a little girl. I loved it. I loved the attitude in it.  It matched my attitude of love what you love and stay true to that no matter what…  Billy Joel is one of my favorite artists…ever!

“Holding on to You” by Jonezetta

13 Sep

“Love was holding on to you and it let go of me” … Clever lyrics.  I think this guy has a very unique voice.  The band as a whole is a very interesting band… I don’t absolutely LOVE them, but I can never turn them down. Whenever one of their songs come on in my shuffle, I cannot press the “next” button. So that’s saying something.  I also put this one out there because maybe a lot of you haven’t heard of Jonezetta and they deserve to be listened to!!!  I know you love your new music.

P.S. I gave you an extra song today since I’ve been “lacking” with songs lately. My apologies!
